OLD MAYOR are an almighty English power duo from London by way of Brighton. Owen Gildersleeve gives us one set of pounding drums, Adam Kammerling returns fire with one loud guitar and screams. Formed in 2005, OLD MAYOR pummel stripped down heavy sonics of the highest order, like the missing link between Burning Witch and Slint, perhaps. Their debut recording, a six track MCD for Paradigms is one bestial release. Recently seen supporting the likes of Boris, Russian Circles, A Storm Of Light and ASVA here in the UK too. Something good is happening right here.
